Saturday Practice:
A fine dry day gave opportunity for fine tuning set-up options for the weekend's racing, Dewi finally settled on the same set-up he used at the previous TORC round held at Wrexham back in May which resulted in a maximum points haul. With the weather forecast promising a dry warm day, confidence in the 'Welsh Wizard' team was high for a good day's racing come Sunday Morning! |

With a track temperature of 24 degrees C, conditions were perfect for the first qualifying session of the day. Dewi set off from his seeded position of 3rd on the grid, he quickly caught and passed the two competitors who held track position ahead of him, and driving a trouble free, clean, quick pace for the whole 5 minute session, posted a FTD time of 17 laps in 306.729 seconds, setting an individual fastest lap of 17.51 seconds. Dewi smashed the existing 19 turn class track record by a margin of 4.66 seconds. Andrew Smith finished 2nd with a time of 17 laps in 312.34 seconds ahead of Lee Price in a time of 17 laps in 314.04 seconds.
Qualifying Rd. 2
With the track temperature now at 39 degrees C, Dewi set off on his 2nd qualifying session, after 3 minutes, and following a half spin entering the fast top corner at the end of the start finish straight, the timekeeping equipment was showing no improvement in time, Dewi pulled over to conserve his tyres for the 3rd qualifying session later (TORC rules restrict competitors to 2 sets of tyres per meeting) . Andrew Smith set an improved time of 17 laps in 310.19 seconds to improve his time from the first qualifying session. |

The 3rd and final qualifying session saw the track temperature now reading 41 degrees C, With his XRAY T1'FK05 requiring nothing other than a thorough check over between sessions, Dewi set off on the final qualifier of the day, and a trouble free run resulted in a time of 17 laps in 310.71 seconds, with a individual fastest lap time of 17.86. With the track temperature no improvements in times by any other competitors resulted in Dewi's 1st round FTD time placed himself in a perfect position for the 2 finals.

| With new tyres fitted to the XRAY T1'FK05, Dewi set off from pole position and quickly established a lead from the following pack. At the 3 minute mark, Dewi had opened up a gap of some 3 seconds on Andrew Smith in 2nd position. However, at th 4 minute mark, following a near coming together with a backmarker, resulting in a spin into the pit lane, Dewi dropped to 2nd position behind Andrew Smith, Dewi chased as hard as possible to make the time up, however by the end of the 5 minutes Andrew ran out as the winner, with Dewi 2nd by a margin of 0.3 of a second! |

From the start of Final 2 Dewi established a clear lead of 2 seconds at the end of the first lap, and from the outset and was never challenged at the head of the pack, eventually running the 5 minutes without any dramas to finish 1st with a time of 17/314.543, recording an individual fastest lap of 17.99 seconds. Andrew Smith finished 2nd with a time of 16/300.634.
Dewi and Andrew Smith tied on overall points for the day, with Dewi taking the win due to his FTD.
